We look forward to meeting you at Goldschmidt 2024, CAMECA booth #17
Don’t miss our happy hour event
Tuesday August 20, 4pm and meet Pierre Haenecour, Assistant Professor at University of Arizona Lunar & Planetary Laboratory, and Elias Bloch, NanoSIMS Lab manager! Pierre will report on his latest research and analyses of precious samples returned by NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission using the brand new NanoSIMS-HR!
Please register to help us adjust our drink order.
Some details of Pierre’s presentation:
Laboratory Astronomy with the new NanoSIMS-HR at the University of Arizona
Dust grains forged in countless ancient stars have seeded the raw materials from which our solar system coalesced. Laboratory analyses of these stardust particles unlock a crucial understanding of the origins of planetary building blocks and essential elements for life. In his presentation, Pierre will explore how the new cutting-edge University of Arizona NanoSIMS-HR enables us to gain unprecedented insights into the composition and distribution of stardust grains found in samples returned by NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission.
CAMECA is also pleased to participate in the pre-conference workshop Secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS): recent advancements and novel applications in geochemistry, biogeochemistry, cosmochemistry, and nuclear forensics, Sunday August 18th at 9am.
Céline Defouilloy – NanoSIMS Application Engineer will present
- NanoSIMS-HR: the next frontier in nanoanalysis for geo & planetary sciences
- Analyzing heterogeneity inside single fluid inclusions with NanoSIMS-HR
