An update is when a new version of the software is released. For example, if the current version is 2.2 and CAMECA releases version 2.3, this is an update. To obtain a software update, please contact your local representative for an update quote.
A patch is when software is released with minor modifications. An example of a patch is if the current version of a software is 2.2 and CAMECA releases version 2.2, patch 1. In the table below, you can see the software version and the latest patch in a column to the right. To obtain a free patch, please email cameca.customer-service@ametek.com and indicate your instrument’s Serial Number and Host ID.
